LIVING A HAPPY LIFE...

We convinced ourselves that life will be better once we are married, have a baby, then another. Then we get disappointed and frustrated simply because our kids aren’t old enough and that all will be well when they are older. Then we are frustrated because they reach adolescence and we must deal with the enormity of adolescence life and surely we are happier when they are grown out of the teen years. We tell ourselves our life will be better when our spouse gets his/her act together, when we have a nicer car, when we can take a vacation, when we finally retired.
The truth is that there is no better time to be happy than right now. If not, when? Your life will always be fill of challenges. It is better to admit as much and to decide to be happy in spite of it all. At times, it seems like life is about to start. REAL LIFE. But then there are always obstacles along the way, an ordeal to go through, some work to be done, some time to be given, a bill to be paid, then life would start.

I have come to understand that these obstacles are LIFE! This point makes us to see that there isn’t any path to happiness, happiness itself is the path! So, enjoy every moment. Don’t wait for school to end, for school to start, to lose 15 pounds or gain 15 pounds, for work to begin, to get married, for Friday evenings, for summer, spring, fall or winter, for the beginning or the middle of the month, to die, to be reborn, for your best song to be played on the radio for a new car or your mortgage to be paid before deciding to be happy.

REMEMBER, happiness is a voyage, not a destination! There is no better time to be happy then NOW, so live and enjoy the moment. With this in mind, let’s not forget our friends for they mean a lot to us even though they are not rated as the very best, and don’t have the most wealth and haven’t won the greatest awards but they are the ones who care about us, take care of us. Those who, no matter what stay close by!

Applause dies away, trophies gather dust, and winners are soon forgotten but our friends are treasured FOREVER!
